Yesterday, I received a bag in the mail. No bill, no coupons, no free sample- just an empty paper bag. I look closely at the bag and noticed that the bag was for National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Now in its 20th year, the annual food drive has grown from a regional to a national effort that provides assistance to the millions of Americans struggling to put food on the table.
To participate in the 20th Stamp Out Hunger food drive, Americans are encouraged to leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable foods, such as canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice or cereal next to their mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on Be sure to set out your bag of groceries on Saturday, May 12th, your mail carrier will collect the food donations as they deliver the mail and take them to a local Feeding America food bank.
We are all couponerers and know how to shop, let help and give back in an EXTREME way!
