My favorite Disney moment as a child is when I played the part of Timon in the Lion King as part of a school play in the first grade. Little did I know the girl that played Pumba would turn out to be my best friend from that day on. After Lion King we went on to do costarring roles in Cinderella and Snow White and even had the chance to attend Disneyworld together with our families. At 23, Lauren is still my best friend, we still often refer to our friendship of that of Timon and Pumba and we still thank Disney (and the school) for bringing us together.

My favorite Disney moment is the joy on my daughters face when she saw the Disney Main Street light parade. She was waving and calling all the characters by name. She had the biggest smile on her face it brought tears to my eyes. After the parade she told me all about how they waved back at her and how it was “so cool”.

When I was a little girl my mom use to wash my hair and give me Mickey Ears when my hair was full of soap. I use to want my hair washed just to look in the mirror at my Mickey Ears. Those were the good ole days!

  6. When I was little my friends mom used to take me to disney on ice for my birthday (Jan 27th) now I am trying to start that tradition with my family that’s my favorite thing about disney in general…you can share and start new memories with your kids. You can watch new movies for the first time or older disney movies like cinderella together.

  7. I have so many favorite Disney moments but my all time favorite was when I had the pleasure of taking my parents to Toy Story on Ice many years ago. I was so pleased to see my parents as excited if not more than the kids, they enjoyed everything about it! When we left my mom kept talking about how the soldiers were perfect

My favorite Disney moment occured as an adult with my 9 year old son Marcellus. He loves the movie Toy Story 1 2 and 3!!! So when Toy Story 3 on Ice was announced I knew I had to someway somehow get those tickets!! I was unemployed at the time and only had money for bills nothing else. The commercial was constantly running and I was just hoping please don’t let my son see this lol. There was no such luck one day we were watching tv together and the commercial came on and his eyes lit up!!! I mean like the size of saucers. The commercial ended and he turned to me and said “mom can we please please please go I won’t ask for anything for Christmas?” It broke my heart that I had to tell him that maybe we could catch it another time because I didn’t have any money. I prayed on it and went to sleep. The next day as I was preparing bills I noticed that one was missing. So I called the company to get my balance and the representative told me that I had a zero balance and I actually had a credit!!! I rushed to the United Center to purchase our tickets. That night when my son came home I was smiling ear to ear and as he passed the tv the commercial came on. My son started to look sad and said maybe next time. I told him that I was very proud of the way he handled the situation but Woody told him to hurry and get dressed because the show was about to start and we still had to battle traffic!! My son leaped off the floor ran and got his my size Buzz Lightyear and was screaming for me to hurry up! We arrived at United Center parked and my son skipped all the way to our seats. The way he smiled sang along recited the words through the entire show just made me so proud to be his mother! I brought so much joy to his life that night and he was able to shake Woody’s hand!!! My son has never forgotten that night and its all thanks to Disney on Ice!! I’m looking forward to more unforgettable moments with Disney

My favorite disney moment was when I took my son Rodney to the show for the first time to see Toy Story…. I did not what to expect because he would only sit still for ten minutes at home watching cartoons…. He sat through the whole movie without moving or eating any of his popcorn….. He was hooked and I had the biggist smile on my face ever… we still enjoy disney movies today together… he is now 20 years old….

  15. I have to be honest I was really never in any Disney characters growing up, well besides Minni & Mickey Mouse. It wasn’t until I had my girls that I really took a liking to the characters! Tinker Bell and of course Tiana are hits in my house! My girls ages 6 and 9 would be trilled to go! Good luck everyone!

  16. My favorite disney moment so far with my daughter so far has been taking her to see Cinderella on broadway, and her meeting her after the show. Then “cinderella” called her around Christmas (had a friend play the part)

My fondest disney moment was actually with my younger sister. We are 12 years apart. One day we were watching The Lion King and after simba got in trouble for going to the pride lands he asked his dad if they would always be pals. Well my 4 yr old sister at the time, looked up at me and said “Quita, we’ll always be pals right?” It was the most special moment. And til this day she is still my pal. She’s 18 now and preparring to attend the University of Chicago on a full academic scholarship. I’m a proud big sister. :)

My favorite Disney memory was when I was younger every Sunday night Disney would play one of their movies on channel 7. As kids, we used to look forward to that. We’d take our baths for school the next day and make it just in time to watch the movie of the week. Hearing the Disney music and seeing the logo on the screen before the movie started was so exciting.

My favorite Disney moment was the first time we took my 3 year old daughter to Disneyworld. At the time she was 2 and during the parade she was so excited she literally jumped out of my arms and tried to get on one of the floats. She was amazed that the parade included all of her Disney favorites. As a parent i was in tears.

We took photos during the parade and she still talks about it. Planning on taking her back to this summer to celebrate her 4th birthday with the Disney princesses. Disneyworld is definitely a magical place for kids and adults.

My favorite Disney moment was when my husband and I took our son then age 2 to Disneyworld we knew he would not remember but the pictures and memories we made was priceless. My husband nor I had ever been to Disneyworld we only dreamt as young children ourselves. The overwhelming feeling you get when you walk into the park and see that magical castle was worth it…it took us thirty years to get there with our first born it was awesome.

We will be making new memories in July with my son age 8 and daughter age 6 when we take them to visit Disneyland they are going to love it, so are we ;)

My favorite Disney in Ice moment was last year around this same time. I went with my sister when we took my niece to see The Princess Disney on Ice performance. She had just turned a year old about a week before. She had on her Princess tshirt and all, just like all the other little girls in the audience. Even though she was only a year old, SHE ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! Some people might have thought that she would be too young to enjoy it but that was soooo not true. Every time I looked over at her and would see her smiling, following the performers with her eyes, and watched her dancing to the music, it absolutely warmed my heart!!!! It almost made me feel like a kid again just by seeing her eyes twinkling with excitement. I still look back at the pictures from that night and smile. Not only was she interactive during the show, she didnt even fall asleep until we got in the car. She lasted the entire show! Thats the sign of a great night! And just to think, she turns 2 on Sunday and I know she would love it even more this year! :)

My favorite Disney moment was with my 4 year old daughter. My daughter wanted to go to the show to see The Princess and The Frog, but at the time I didn´t have the money to go, so I bought the dvd when it came out. So one night I told her to get in the bed, she thought she was going to sleep, but I had popped some popcorn, and made some Kool-aid for our surprise movie night! I came in the room with our snacks for the night, and she was looking puzzled. I popped the dvd in, and when she realized what it was she jumped around and gave me hugs & kisses. After having two boys, I tried hard for my Princess just to share these types of moments with, and although it might not have been much just to see that smile on her face made my day!!

I have a very soon to be two year old who entered the tereible twos months ago. One day she was absolutely giving me the flux! She didn’t wanna help Find Nemo…She didn’t care what Horton heard…and she shrieked at Shrek. I let her fuss and mess up her room so I could complete my task. I just figured I would clean it up later. Well I was tired and wanted to lay down. She wasn’t having it. I said let me go on Netflix to see if it helped. I got my phone from her, opened the app and chose Tinkerbell. She sat quietly through every single minute. Every single minute! Afterwards, she was calm and we cleaned her room together…well she do a lot but not messing up as I was cleaning is considered helping. LOL

My daughters new favorite is Merida from brave. We love she is so independent and my little ones love that she can shoot an arrow like a pro:)

  25. My absolute favorite Disney moment was when my husband & I took our 2 yr. old son to Disneyworld. I’m a HUGE Mickey fan so I’d been previously but it did not compare to seeing the joy & sparkle in my sons eyes as we were warmly greeted by many Disney characters, needless to say he was on cloud 9! And to top it off the parade & fireworks show were simply amazing…We captured awesome memories on video and when my now 4 yr old son watches them, we experience that joy all over again! We now have 3 children and can’t wait for our next visit..Disneyworld is truly a magical place for all ages!
