You have seen it on many coupon blogs and on Facebook that ALL Dollar Tree Stores will begin to accept coupons on August 26, 2012. Back in march of 2011, I reported that Chicagoland stores were accepting coupons. I later found out that we were in a test market to see if they would move this plan nationally and they did.
Yesterday, I took some time out of my day to head over to Dollar Tree and talk with the manager about having an official coupon policy. You see, I as well as other Sister Save-A-Lot readers had a few bumps in the road with redeeming coupons at Dollar Tree.
The manager over at the 87th street store and I discussed the new coupon policy and she stated that her store associates are ready for more couponers. We talked more about the benefits of couponing and I hope to see in one of my Sister Save-A-Lot coupon classes soon. I am glad to see that Dollar Tree has adopted this policy over all of their stores. This is a great change for them and even better for families who are in need of the extra savings. Check out my pictures below of items that we could get for FREE or cheap with coupons.

Be sure to print ans save it in your binder.
Only original and intact manufacturers’ coupons will be accepted. Retailer-specific coupons will not be accepted.
Coupons are void if copied, scanned, or if they have been altered in any way.
Only two (2) print-at-home Internet coupons may be redeemed per transaction. {I can see this being a problem for Dollar Tree.}
We are unable to accept coupons for “Free” items with no purchase requirements or where the amount for the product is blank.
Coupons can only be used in stores and must be presented at time of purchase. Coupons cannot be redeemed for cash at a later time.
Coupons will not be accepted without the purchase of the item specified and are subject to the terms listed (e.g. expiration date, size, limitations, quantity, etc.).
Coupons cannot be redeemed for more than the purchase price of the item.
Only one (1) manufacturer’s coupon will be accepted per item.
Management has the right to refuse any coupon or otherwise limit quantities.
I am more then happy for all of Dollar Tree shoppers and hope that you can save on everyday items for your family. Be sure to check out Dollar Tree Shopping Trips photo album on Facebook to see past deals that I were able to get at Dollar Tree.

Management has the right to refuse any coupons or otherwise limit quantities. I’m not liking that one, but thank goodness there are Dollar Tree stores all over Chicago I can go to that will accept them. I noticed all managers are not the same so I will probably go to 87th street faithfully since you have established a relationship with management.
Thanks for the blog!
That doesn’t bother me. Most coupon policies has it, so I think it is just standard.
I m excited! I think this will ne good business for DT and it broadens our coupon spectrum. As long as we use our coupons in the correct manner, we shouldn’t encounter many issues.
Have you been back to the DT on 117th and Marshfield since you wrote that post earlier in the year?
Lillian, I have just to pick up papers. Other then that, until they get a new manager, I will still take my business elsewhere.
Yeah I usually just get my papers there too.
