Last year Chicago just barely made the list ranking at #24 on Coupons.com Most Frugal City list for 2011. I just read that in 2012, Chicago is now ranked #19 and I am more then happy about that fact. Shopping and saving in Chicago is very hard. With the lack of double coupons, sale prices, and great deals I a surprised that we ranked so high.
In 2012 “305 billion coupons were distributed in the U.S., giving consumers more than $450 billion in potential savings,” said Jeanette Pavini, of Coupons.com, in a statement. Saving money is a priority in every region across the United States, but the Midwest dominates the most frugal U.S. cities list, with more than double the number of cities than any other region.”
